Although most districts are not considering full core adoptions for Reading/Language Arts, there is a critical need to determine the best solutions to close the achievement gap for our struggling readers, those students requiring intensive interventions, and our English learners. The newest SBE-approved programs have much to offer and there are powerful solutions in these new materials. The Curriculum and Instruction Steering Committee Reading/Language Arts Adoption Toolkit offers a clear, data-driven and evidence-based process to arrive at best solutions.
